Rental increase guideline for 2012, what is your best guess?
Well... that time of year is upon us again. Anyone have a guess what the rental increase guideline will be in this, an election year. Here is mine.
Our progressive government will continue to protect hardworking families in Ontario. This year we are going to allow a 0.1% increase to rents in this great province, and this will balance the increased costs that landlord's have incurred and the demands of working families. Landlord's must continue to do thier part ensuring the continued prosperity and fairness that is valued by Ontarians.
Translation- We know deadbeat welfare leeches have no money, and we are not going to give them anymore. Instead we are going to tax landowners to death and then then make them house people and make them pay for the privilege. So here is some lip service because we know the HST is killing you. We also know that landlords are not going to vote for us, so screw you taxpayer.
PS- We know price controls never work over the long haul, but we only care about re-elected and don't care about the long term housing crisis we are creating. We hope all tenants are stupid and they fall for this BS. See you in the fall.
What is your guess?
